ES. 17 febrero, 187 aniversario de la aprobación pontificia de la Congregación y de las CC.RR. de los Misioneros Oblatos de María Inmaculada. Las tres comunidades oblatas de vía Aurelia 290 (Roma) nos hemos reunido para hacer memoria y celebrar tan fausto acontecimiento. Comenzamos con la concelebración eucarística, presidida por el P. Cornelius Ngoka, Asistente general, incluidas la renovación de votos y la consagración a María Inmaculada. La música y proclamación de las lecturas corrieron a cargo de los jóvenes Oblatos del Escolasticado Internacional. Siguió el aperitivo y el almuerzo fraterno de las tres comunidades juntas. Disfrutamos de un gratificante clima de familia. ¡Todos felices de ser Oblatos! El P. General y el Vicario se unieron a nosotros en espíritu desde Cosenza (Italia) y Camerún respectivamente.

IT. 17 febbraio, 187º anniversario dell’approvazione pontificia della Congregazione e delle CC.RR. dei Missionari Oblati di Maria Immacolata. Le tre comunità oblate di via Aurelia 290 (Roma) si sono riunite per la memoria di questo evento. Abbiamo iniziato con la concelebrazione eucaristica presieduta dal P. Ngoka Cornelius, Assistente generale, compresi il rinnovo dei voti e la consacrazione a Maria Immacolata. La musica e la proclamazione delle letture sono state tenute dai giovani Oblati dello Scolasticato Internazionale. In seguito, l'aperitivo e il pranzo fraterno delle tre comunità insieme. Abbiamo goduto di un’atmosfera familiare gratificante. Tutti gli Oblati ci sentivamo felici! Il P. P. Generale e il Vicario ci sono uniti a noi in spirito, da Cosenza (Italia) e dal Camerun, rispettivamente.

FR. 17 février, 187eme.  anniversaire de l'approbation pontificale de la Congrégation et des CC.RR. des Missionnaires Oblats de Marie Immaculée. Les trois communautés oblates de via Aurelia 290 (Rome) se sont réunis pour faire mémoire et célébrer cet événement. Nous avons commencé par une concélébration eucharistique présidée par le père Cornelius Ngoka, Assistant général, y compris le renouvellement des vœux et la consécration à Marie Immaculée. Musique et proclamation des lectures ont été assurées par les jeunes Oblats du Scolasticat International. Après, l'apéritif et le déjeuner fraternel des trois communautés ensemble. Nous avons apprécié l'ambiance familiale enrichissante. On se santé être heureux d’être Oblat! Le P. Général et le Vicaire nous ont rejoint dans l'esprit. Ils étaient  à Cosenza (Italie) et au Cameroun respectivement.

EN. The 187^th anniversary of the pontifical approval of the Constitutions and Rules and the Congregation of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate was celebrated on 17th February. The three communities of the Via Aurelia 290 gathered together for the commemoration of this important event. The celebration started with a Eucharistic celebration presided by Father Cornelius Ngoka, the General Assistant of the Congregation.

During the Eucharistic celebration, there was a renewal of vows and consecration to Mary Immaculate by all the oblates present. The songs and readings were taken care of by the Scholastics of the International Roman Scholasticate.

The Eucharistic celebration was followed by fraternal Aperitifs and lunch among the inmates of Via Aurelia 290. It was really a moment of oblate fraternity as the atmosphere was really that of an oblate family. Father General and his vicar were spiritually in communion with us as they were celebrating with Cosenza (Italy) and Cameroonian oblates respectively.

Santa Maria in Campitelli

ES. Hace 187 años, el 15 de febrero de 1826,  el joven fundador Eugenio de Mazenod pasó toda una mañana en oración y en expectación en la iglesia romana de Santa María in Campitelli mientras en el palacio del cardenal Pacca, justo enfrente, un grupo de cardenales, por mandato del Papa, examinaban las CC.RR. de la naciente congregación de los Misioneros Oblatos de María Inmaculada con miras a la aprobación pontificia del Instituto religioso. Durante ese tiempo y en es misma iglesia se celebraron nueve Misas consecutivas. A mediodía San Eugenio se dirigió al portero del palacio cardenalicio para cerciorarse si los cardenales habían terminado la sesión. El portero se había olvidado de avisarle… Dos días después, el 17 de febrero,  el Papa León XII firmaba la bula de aprobación. Los Oblatos de las comunidades de Roma y de su alfoz nos encontramos cada 15 de febrero para hacer memoria del evento, celebrando una Misa en esa iglesia. Este año fue presidida por el P. Roberto Sartor, Procurador general y superior de la casa general. Los cantos corrieron a cargo del Escolasticado Internacional Romano.

IT. 187 anni fa, il 15 febbraio 1826, il giovane fondatore Eugenio de Mazenod ha trascorso un'intera mattinata in preghiera e di attesa nella chiesa romana di Santa Maria in Campitelli, mentre nel palazzo del cardinale Pacca, di fronte, un gruppo di cardinali, per mandato del Papa, esaminava le CC.RR. de la nuova congregazione dei Missionari Oblati di Maria Immacolata per l’approvazione pontificia. Durante quel lungo tempo di attesa si celebrarono nove Messe consecutive. A mezzogiorno Eugenio si è recato dal portiere del palazzo cardinalizio per assicurarsi che i cardinali avevano concluso la sessione. Il portiere si era dimenticato di dirselo ... Due giorni dopo, il 17 febbraio, il Papa Leone XII firmava la bolla di approvazione. Gli Oblati delle comunità di Roma e la sua periferia ci incontriamo ogni 15 febbraio per far memoria dell’evento, celebrando l’Eucaristia, presieduta quest’anno da P. Robert Sartor, procuratore generale e superiore della casa generalizia. I canti sono stati assicurati dallo Scolasticato Internazionale Romano.

Il y a 187 ans, le 15 Février 1826, le jeune fondateur Eugène de Mazenod a passé une matinée entière en prière en attente dans l'église romaine de Santa Maria in Campitelli, tandis que dans le palais du cardinal Pacca, juste en face de cette église, un groupe de cardinaux, par ordre du pape, examinait les CC.RR. de la nouvelle congrégation des Missionnaires Oblats de Marie Immaculée pour l'approbation pontificale de l’Institut. Pendant ce temps et dans la même église on a célébré neuf messes consécutives. A midi le Fondateur est allé voir le portier du palais du cardinal pour savoir si les cardinaux avaient terminé la séance. Le portier avait oublié de lui dire ... Deux jours plus tard, le 17 Février, le pape Léon XII a signé la bulle d'approbation. Les Oblats des communautés de Rome et de ses environs nous nous rencontrons chaque 15 Février dans cette église  pour faire mémoire de cet événement. Cette année la Messe a été présidée par le P. Robert Sartor, procureur général et supérieur de la maison générale. Les chants ont été assurés par le Scolasticat international Romain.

EN. 187 years ago, precisely on the 15^th February 1826, the young founder of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, Eugene de Mazenod, passed a whole morning in prayer waiting at the Church of Saint Mary in Capitelli, while a group of Cardinals were examining the Constitutions and Rules of the new Congregation for a Pontifical approval. Nine masses were consecutively celebrated within that his long waiting.

When Eugene finale went to the receptionist of the Cardinals’ Palace, at the midday, to ascertain if the Cardinals have concluded their session, he discovered that the receptionist had already forgotten to inform him of the end of the session.

Two days later, on the 17^th February, Pope Leon XII signed the bull of approval. This is why, Oblate communities in Rome and its environs meet every 15^th February, around a Eucharistic table, for the commemoration of this important event. The Mass of this year, was officiated by Fr Roberto Sartor, General Procurator and superior of the General house, and the songs were executed by the Scholastics of the International Roman Scholasticate.

IT. È arrivato al nostro scolasticato il primo alunno del 2013-2014: Jacquot Rafenomantsoa, del Madagascar. Da un tempo si trovava a Lourdes (Francia) dando una mano alla comunità oblata del Santuario, più concretamente nel Villaggio dei Giovani. Appena arrivato si è messo subito a studiare l’italiano. Con 9 messi in Italia, quando andrà alla Gregoriana, porterà in mano il diploma linguistico dell’Accademia Dante Alighieri. Seguano l'esempio i futuri candidati!

ES. ¡Bienvenido, Jacquot Rafenomantsoa! Es el primer candidato llegado al escolasticado para el curso 2013-2014. Es de Madagascar, pero llevaba ya varios meses en Lourdes ayudando a los Oblatos de aquel Santuario mariano, en la pastoral juvenil sobre todo. Jacquot se ha sumergido ya en el estudio intensivo del italiano. Cuando en octubre llegue a la Gregoriana podrá presentar su diploma “summa cum laude” en la hermosa lengua de Dante. Que tomen nota los futuros candidatos.

FR. Bienvenu! Jacquot Rafenomantsoa est le premier candidat d’arriver au scolasticat pour le compte de l’année académique 2013-2014. Il vient de Madagascar, mais il a travaillé pendant quelques mois à Lourdes pour y aider les Oblats de ce sanctuaire marial dans la pastorale des jeunes. Jacquot est déjà plongé dans l'apprentissage intensive de la langue italienne. Quand en Octobre il commencera à la Grégorienne il pourra réussir  son diplôme avec la mention "summa cum laude" dans la belle langue de Dante. Que les futurs candidats suivent son exemple.

EN. Jacquot Rafenomantsoa, from Madagascar arrived at the Scholasticate to continue his formation. He was the first one to arrive for the academic year 2013-2014. Before his arrival he was at the Shrine of Our Lady of  Lourdes in France helping our Oblates there. As soon as he arrived he was placed in a school to learn Italian. Before starting his Theological studies at the Gregorian University in Rome in September this year, we hope that he will be able to hold a Diploma in Italian language. Still some more students to arrive next month, we expect the future candidates too to follow the same method.
