IT. SULLE ORME DI SAN EUGENIO A ROMA

Mercoledì 14 novembre, il gruppo di vita del primo anno, siamo andati a visitare alcuni luoghi storici in rapporto col nostro Fondatore. Padre Fabio Bastone omi, romano di Roma, nostro guida, ci ha condotti in tre di maggior importanza: San Silvestro al Quirinale, la Chiesa dei SS. Apostoli e Santa Maria in Campitelli. Più che una semplice visita, è stato per noi un vero pellegrinaggio. Abbiamo rivissuto la storia di S. Eugenio, il riconoscimento della nostra famiglia religiosa alla Chiesa. Entrare e rimanere in queste Chiese dove San Eugenio viveva quelle lunghe ore di preghiera, di attesa e a volte di crisi; essere e vivere, come lui, nel luogo dove lui aveva pregato durante la celebrazione di tante Messe, il luogo della novena dell’Immacolata dove ha intuito il nostro nome mariano, la chiesa dov’era stato ordinato vescovo…. È stato un vero momento di gioia. 

ES. SIGUIENDO LOS PASOS DE S. EUGENIO POR ROMA

El miércoles 14 de noviembre el grupo de vida de primer año hemos ido a visitar algunos lugares históricos con relación directa con nuestro Fundador. El P. Fabio Bastone, buen conocedor de la Urbe, porque es más romano que  la lupa capitolina, nos hizo guía. Estuvimos en Santa María in Campitelli, la iglesia de las nueve Misas seguidas, esperando el aviso de la comisión de Cardenales que estudiaba la primera Regla para su aprobación, la basílica de los Santos Apóstoles (Felipe y Santiago el Menor) donde, asistiendo a la novena de la Inmaculada, tuvo la inspiración de dar el nombre definitivo a la naciente Congregación, y San Silvestre al Quirinal, donde solía hospedarse en sus viajes a Roma y lugar donde fue ordenado Obispo. Ha sido una verdadera gozada.

FR. SUR LES PAS DE SAINT EUGENE A ROME

Le mercredi 14 novembre 2012, nous,  de l’équipe de vie de première année, sommes allés visiter quelques lieux historiques pour notre fondateur. Le Père Fabio Bastonne était aux commandes et nous a conduit de mains de maître dans trois hauts lieux : San Silvestro al Quirinal, L’Église des saints Apôtres et Santa Maria in Campitelli. Plus qu’une visite, ce fut pour nous un moment de pèlerinage que de pouvoir communier avec toute notre histoire : revivre la reconnaissance par l’Église universelle de notre famille religieuse ; mettre les pieds dans ces Églises où saint Eugène vivait ces longues heures d’attente et quelques fois de crises; être et vivre comme lui dans un cadre où pain (Eucharistie et repas) et communauté sont à portée de la main. Quelle joie !

EN. ON THE STEPS OF SAINT EUGENE IN ROME

On Wednesday 14th November, the group of life in first year went to visit some historical sites through which Our Founder walked. Fr. Fabio Bastone omi, a roman from Roma was our guide. He took us to three important sites among which we visited; Saint Silvestro al Quirinale, the Church of the holy Apostles and Saint Mary in Campitelli. More than a simple visit, it was for us a true and genuine pilgrimage. We lived again deep within ourselves the experience of Saint Eugene when the Church acknowledge our religious family. To enter and remain in this Church were Saint Eugene lived in long hours of prayer, waiting and at times in crisis; to be and to live like him, in the place where he prayed as others celebrated mass. It is in this place of the Novena of the Immaculate where he discerned the marian name of our congregation, and it is in this Church where he was ordained bishop…indeed the pilgrimage was a genuine moment of joy.
